The Lake User Forum representative is concerned to provide information to, and canvas opinion from, a wide spread of local residents who whilst not ‘Lake Users’ in the boat owning sense are nevertheless both interested and concerned in matters relating to their local lake.
Many operate businesses involving tourism, like Bed & Breakfast proprietors, and they understand that the lake is a major attraction for visitors.
Others walk beside the lake or travel on it in the Lake Steamers.
By attending meetings of the Windermere Town Council, Local Neighbourhood Forum, Civic Society etc, the representative brings the activities of the Lake User Forum to a wide spectrum of the local public.
